Akshay Tritiya - MMTC plans to introduce spot trading in gold coins on NCDEX

One of India`s biggest precious metals importers, MMTC is planning to introduce spot trading in gold coins on a leading agri-commodity bourse National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX) in July, reports Economic Times. On the sidelines of the launch of `Festival of Gold` the company`s Chairman and Managing Director Sanjiv Batra said that the company is in talks with NCDEX to start spot trading in gold coins of 8 grams. If everything goes fine, spot trading should begin in another two months. Demand for gold coins is surging in India and the company expects that spot trade would give better price to investors, he added.
