People in south or far-east, watched Dilip Kumar's movies probably due to Vyjayantimalaji, a South Indian actress and her dance. They watched Raj Kapoors movies because of 'Mera Naam Joker' becoming popular among children. But if there is one person whose films are watched for an actor, for his dialogue delivery or his ability to pour life into the characters he portrays, it is you and only you. There are more people who learnt hindi imitating you than by copying other actors who were there before you came and and those who came after. It wont be exaggerating if i say that you have put the strongest thread in the rope that binds India together. As a citizen of this country and a person in the armed forces I salute to you for this reason. The book features his role in the creation of Dudhwa National Park, and his life long struggle in the research and the rehabilitation of the big cats in the forests of North Lakhimpur Kheri Division.

More so at a time when there is a raging controversy regarding north indians thus creating tension in Mumbai city. While targeting you for political gains is not correct, your family also needs to show some restraint. Or was it that the controversy was planned to coincide the relaease of your new film?

I differ on what you had to say about "SM". I am a NRI and have seen nothing in-different in the eyes of the locals who have watched the film. Infact they ahve appreciated the film, and do realize that INDIAN films are not only glamorous bollywood but some reality too. I find this film million times better than scantilty dressed girls in our own films who donnt do any good building up the image of Mumbai or even India.

I have liked Amitabh at one time, and dislike his overbearing presence in almost every movie that is made these days. He is a fine actor and a very hard working one at that. But there are very few movies of his I would take with me to a n island in hte middle of the ocean. I still think we haven't seen him at his best and he is capable of heckuva lot more than he has all htese years. He has changed considerably as a person, and his reverses in the 90s have made him a wiser and more sedate person. He has put his controversial days behind him and exudes modesty with every thing he says. He has aged gracefully and comes off as a very decent person. Raj Thackeray is playing a very dangerous game and is becoming like those DMK/DK punks. Not a good thing at all.
