Aziz Mirza started his career as a director on television when he did Circus with Shahrukh Khan in the cast. With his first feature film, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman in 1992 Aziz Mirza became Bollywood's primary purveyor of working-class romances. It took him 5 years to make his next film Yes Boss; another 3 years to make Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, and three years later came Chalte Chalte.
