One of the most often forgotten disk maintenance tasks is the Hard Drive Balancing. Many people forget that just like a car's tire, through normal wear and tear, can get out of balance because the rubber material is unevenly distributed, the same can happen to your hard drive. The individual bits (smalls ones and zeros) have different weights and as their weight gets unevenly distributed on the disk, this can cause the disk to be unbalanced. This unbalance may even eventually causes hard drive wobble.
