The application number for my passport is z402447/06. The procedures for the verification and allotment of passport have been completed. But, the whole process has not been completed within six months from the date of application. As a result, the validity for the Demand Draft has been void. Therefore, I had to re-apply the passport again. When I enquired about this in Salem on 18th July 2007, I have been informed that all the procedures had been completed in Salem. They are unable to provide any further information and asked us to check with PRO (Public Relations Officer), Chennai. When I went to Chennai to check for this on 18th November 2008, I have been asked to provide a written letter requesting for re-verification process. I have provided the same. No one had come to my premises for verification. As a result, there is still no progress in provisioning the passport. I have even complained about this through an e-mail (rpochen@tn.nic.in). I have not received any reply for that complaint. Please let me know what the current status of my passport application is and when the passport will be delivered. If you are unable to process this passport application, please cancel it, so that I can at least apply for a new passport again. It has been more than 900 days since I applied this passport.
