The dream finally came true. The invincible U-19 Indian cricket team held on to their nerves to beat South Africa in a rain-interrupted final in Kuala Lumpur to win the World Cup title. Chasing a victory target of 160, South Africa were 17/3 when rain halted play. When the match resumed, the target was revised to 116 from 25 overs. But on a slow batting track, South Africa could score only 103/8 and lost the final by 12 runs under D/L method.
