Inflation rises to -0.95% on high food prices

Inflation rose to -0.95 per cent for the week ended August 15 from -1.53 per cent in the previous week on the back of rising food prices. The wholesale price index (WPI) based inflation remained negative for the 11th consecutive week since June 6 mainly on high base. It was 12.82 per cent for the corresponding week last year.
