The unprecedented move -- a media statement issued on a key national strategic issue -- has upset Dr A N Prasad, former director, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, the Indian nuclear programme's first such facility, and a known critic of the nuclear deal. Dr Prasad told rediff.com, "It is sad to see that the deal which is projected as one of supreme national interest being smeared with the murky politics of number games."
