Himesh Reshammiya plays the role of Rishi Kapoor in the remake and also scores a hat trick by acting, singing and composing the music for the film. T-Series has bought the remake rights from Mukta Arts for the original film Karz directed by Subhash Ghai. The original film had a cast of Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim, Premnath amongst others and was a blockbuster of the 80's.
