Lalu, Karunanidhi back UPA on nuclear deal-India-The Times of India

After being snubbed by the Left Front, the UPA government received a shot in the arm on Thursday when RJD chief Lalu Prasad and DMK chief Karunanidhi voiced support for the Indo-US nuclear deal. ( Watch ) Lalu Yadav said the nuclear deal is necessary for the country's development and it would be "unfortunate" if the agreement falls through. As senior CPM leader Sitaram Yechury met Lalu Yadav, the Railway Minister said the government needed to take the allies along as "we need both (the deal and the Left)".
