Indian Railway can generate more Revenue from a Business Model.this model is insurance for delay or cancellation.from this model railway and passengers both will be in a win-win situation.First passengers will get compensation if their is delay or cancellation.(considering that today time is most important factor and lots of important people travel by Railways ex-managers,top levelexecutive,professional,polticians etc)their time is equal to money.example if a professional earns Rs.1000 daily and he is willing to travel with train ,due to some unforeseen event his train is immediately cancelled or delayed before depepature,even Railways has returned the entire amount of the Ticket,who will compensate him for his wastage of time and opportunity cost he spend in platform waiting for the Train. Second Railways will get Revenue if the train is on scheduled time.the cost of insurance (premium) will be included in the cost of Ticket (Rs.10 , 20).this Business model can be implemented immediately by Railways to create harmony among passengers and also increasing the revenue.This business model is product of jharkhand.
