The Tata Rs 1-lakh car was launched today at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi by Chairman Ratan Tata. The car is name as "Nano" (already a cool name associated withe young and hip i-pod) Mr. Tata said that the car meets all safety and emission norms and emissions are lower than 2 wheelers. The car has 21% more volume than much popular Maruti 800. Which mean the interior space is going to be really good. The car would be indeed launched at 1 lakh + taxes. The 624-cc petrol engine pumps 33 bhp of power. The car hs a 30-litre fuel tank and 4-speed manual gearshift. The car will come with an Air conditioner but would be having a power steering. The car will be extremely fuel efficient and will delivery a mileage of 23kmpl. The car's dashboard will have bare necessities in its instrument panel: a speedometer, fuel gauge, and oil light. There wont be any radio/music system.
