Royal Challenger’s 156 runs in 20 overs didn’t seem a compelling total to defend. I personally thought the star batting line up of the Deccan Chargers would easily maul the runs in a matter of 15 overs or so. VVS won the toss and elected to field thinking of containing the Royal challengers to a decent total. Deccan Chargers was able to contain the Challengers to a meager 156 runs in 20 overs. Jaffer and Kohli provided some fat scores on the board.

The chase didn’t seem so easy for the star batting line up of Deccan Chargers as they kept loosing wickets. VVS Laxman made a good half century at the top order. Rohit Sharma continuing his impeccable form scored another half century which went in vain. The match went to the final over where the Deccan Chargers needed 20 runs in the last over.

Kumble bowls the last over and match was swinging in either team’s favor till the last ball was bowled.
