MUMBAI: Barely three days after TOI broke the news about India's most expensive apartment transaction (Rs 1.20 lakh a sq ft) in Malabar Hill's Il Palazzo building, another mega deal, this time for a commercial property, has come to light. In April end, the London-headquartered Barclays bank concluded negotiations to take on lease 15,000 sq ft of office space in CeeJay House, Worli, at a record-breaking rent of Rs 725 a sq ft per month. This is so far the highest ever lease rental for any commercial property in the country.
