Vidya Balan who has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons like her affair with Shahid Kapoor, her prior link-up with John Abraham, and on top of all that, her fight with designer Manisha Malhotra, is now attempting to erase her bad girl image with a refreshing new film role.

The actress who will be seen sharing screen space with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Ishqiya, is leaving no stone unturned. To get into the skin of her character, she is learning the UP dialect. Vidya even hired a teacher to get familiar with the way the UPiites speak Hindi, what’s more the actress also underwent a 10-day workshop with Naseer, who discussed the finer nuances of acting with her. A source close to the actress revealed, “The character that Vidya is playing in Ishqiya is a very complex character and is very difficult to enact. Vidya thought that the best way to learn to emote the character on screen would be to learn it from the veteran himself. Vidya treasures the experience with Naseer and is looking forward to working with him in the film.”
