Tuesday September 23rd 2008 - Watch The Carling Cup Live and Free Online via video streaming.
Tonight’s match see’s Manchester United host Middlesbrough at Old Trafford at 8pm BST.
If Alex Ferguson’s Holy Grail is the UEFA Champions League, then the League Cup must be his used Tea Cup. Unless we reach the Semi-finals of course.
Barring 2 or 3 veterans Sir Alex always plays a reserve side in the early rounds of the League Cup, as do all the top managers. I have never looked into the reason why the big clubs do this but my guess is it’s a money matter.
This Carling Cup game will be shown free tonight via online video stream. Manchester United vs Middlesbrough Live at Old Trafford.
Manchester United - Angola striker Manucho is expected to make his debut tonight in the third round of the Carling Cup.
Anderson and Nani are tipped to be in the squad whilst Gary Neville may continue at right-back.
It is rumoured that Cristiano Ronaldo may feature at some point in the game.
Middlesbrough - Top scorer Mido is set to miss out due to injury and so will fellow striker Tuncay Sanli who is also injured.
Hopefuls are Jeremie Aliadiere who must recover from a kick to his Achilles and midfielder Adam Johnson who must overcome an ankle problem.
