Yagnam for RamalingaRaju the 'messiah' - HYDERABAD: They gathered, they prayed and they pledged. At the stroke of five in the morning on Wednesday, 3,000 people of various hues and denominations led by the Raju clan from 60-70 nearby villages assembled at the Green Park locality at Medchal in the fond hope of freeing their 'hero'. They performed 'homam' before Ganesha idols and prayed sincerely to the 'navagraha' seeking divine intervention in getting the Raju brothers an early bail. Medchal is the stronghold of the Ramalinga Raju extended family with his mother and brother still living there.   read more »
